What is the difference between direct and local partner?
In Shanghai, Brussels and Paris we hold our own work authorisation and shoot directly. Everywhere else we produce through a registered local production partner who files the permit and contracts crew. That is the standard structure for any foreign production, not a workaround.
Does using a partner cost more?
No. It is how foreign productions are legally required to operate in most territories, and the partner is inside the production budget rather than on top of it.
Can you shoot in a city not on this list?
Usually. The fifteen below are where we already have a partner we trust. Elsewhere we will tell you honestly whether we can source one in your window.
